Manchester United are preparing offers to sign Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde and another player late in this window.
The left-back’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain. The Premier League side have contacted his agent, Jorge Mendes, to explore the deal.
On Tuesday, Sport Witness covered a report from Spain explaining that the super-agent is facilitating Balde’s move to Manchester United. This allows Mendes to take another client, Racing Santander’s Jorge Salinas, to the Camp Nou.
Manchester United want La Liga duo
As well as the 22-year-old, the Red Devils are also keen on signing Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga.
That’s according to Cadena Ser’s El Larguero, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share journalist PacoJo Delgado’s updates on Manchester United’s interest in the La Liga duo.
He reports Michael Carrick’s side are preparing a €30m offer to sign Alejandro Balde and €50m bid for the 23-year-old midfielder.
PacoJo shares more updates in a video and Defensa Central have relayed his comments.
“An intermediary with excellent international connections told me this morning that United is preparing a €30m offer for Balde and another €50m offer for Camavinga, to be submitted before the transfer window closes,” he said.
“I don’t know what will happen, because it’s something they think about and prepare for, but I prefer to speak out than remain silent in this case. With the tax implications, these deals would cost United about the price of diesel right now, but United has the money to do it.”
Surprising claim about Camavinga
Michael Carrick’s side have signed three midfielders, Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba, this summer.
The Red Devils are focusing on strengthening other positions, especially the left-back and their attack.
Taking this into account, it’ll be a surprise if Manchester United were to offer €50m for Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga.
Alejandro Balde can be an option for the left-back. However, the British press states the Old Trafford are looking for a loan deal.
