Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr has gone AWOL in an attempt to push through a move to Galatasaray.

Haber Sarikirmizi report today that the 28-year-old is determined to get his move to Türkiye before the transfer window closes.

Citing journalist Ali Naci Küçük, the outlet states that Sarr has not trained with the Crystal Palace squad for the past two days.

The indication is that he is not injured but simply refusing to be involved. He has made it clear that he wants to play for Galatasaray.

Crystal Palace clash

In fact, the Senegal international has reportedly informed Crystal Palace that he does not wish to play in the Premier League opener on Saturday. The Eagles take on Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Interestingly, Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage insisted in his press conference this week that Ismaila Sarr would be remaining at Selhurst Park.

“We will keep him; we will keep him. He’s a really important player for the club and for us. He will be able to play this weekend,” he stated when asked about the 28-year-old.

Forcing a move?

That led to a response from journalist Nabil Djellit. He reported the Sarr had made it clear to the Crystal Palace management that he wanted to leave. He suggested that a clash between the parties could be on the cards.

In a separate post on X, he explained that Sarr already has a personal agreement in place with Galatasaray. The Super Lig were planning to return with a ‘more substantial bid’ to convince Crystal Palace into a sale.

Now, it appears that Ismaila Sarr is doing everything he can to push through the move.

If he hasn’t trained for two days and is missing from the squad for the Everton game, it points to matters heading in one direction before the end of the transfer window in just under two weeks.
