Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has spent a single season at Chelsea and could be on his way out of the club this summer.
The attacker played less than 500 minutes in the Premier League last season. He couldn’t score and assisted just twice. It was a far cry from how well he did during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
Mykhailo Mudryk has now returned to the first-team fold at the Blues, with Morgan Rogers also capable of playing on the left.
This could lead to Bynoe-Gittens’ exit, with AS Roma keen on his signature.
Initial offer made
Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico is closely monitoring the Englishman. An initial offer has already been made and a second one could also be made.
The first bid saw Roma put forward a loan worth €3m with an option to buy worth €40m.
Chelsea rejected this but talks between the clubs are likely to continue. Roma, in the meantime, are looking to change the terms of the offer in their next bid, hoping that the London club have something to think about soon.

The newspaper confirm that an offer has been made. For now, Chelsea want greater guarantees in the agreement instead of an option to buy.

Our take: Deal will be complex
In recent years, Premier League clubs have shown increasing willingness to sell their players to other English clubs. In Bynoe-Gittens’ case, his value is still very high.
Roma have spent a significant amount on incomings this summer too. This is making them consider a deal which will be convenient for them.
For now, Chelsea are under no pressure to sell the 22-year-old. While a move to Gian Piero Gasperini’s side can help the winger, he has shown little sign of wanting to leave. If Roma can change that, there could be a higher chance of a deal going through.
