Udinese are expected to lose Lorenzo Lucca in the next few weeks, all 2.01m of the 24-year-old forward. Whilst there’s been links with multiple Premier League clubs, it’s considered that a move within Italy seems to be the likeliest scenario for the player.
Naturally, the Serie A club are looking around trying to make sure they’ve got a replacement lined up should Lucca manage to seal a move elsewhere. And that’s seen their eyes turn towards Norwich City.
The man in question is Josh Sargent, who was linked with a move to AS Roma at the beginning of this month.
Sargent played at the tip of Norwich City’s attack last season, scoring 15 goals in 32 Championship matches and missing the rest due to a knee injury.
Norwich City have the US international secured to a contract lasting until 2028, so are under no pressure in that regard. Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Canaries are asking for around €15m to part ways with their player, which feels on the optimistic side for Udinese.
