AS Roma have been working on a move for Chelsea‘s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens but this can now depend on a possible arrival at Hull City.
Sport Witness have covered how the Italian side’s initial approach for the winger has been rejected. Gian Piero Gasperini sees Bynoe-Gittens as an important target, as he is seeking an extra attacking signing.
Chelsea haven’t opened up to a loan and are looking for guarantees before letting the player depart.
This is now closely linked to Hull City’s move for Robinho Vaz.
Attacker yet to make final decision
Corriere dello Sport report an agreement between Roma and Hull City for Vaz. It would be a €2m loan deal, with an option to buy set at €30m.
The move is yet to go through, as the player is yet to make a decision. He is considering the destination and is holding discussions with the Tigers about wages and his contract.
Roma are hoping this gets done, as they have held fresh contacts for Bynoe-Gittens ‘in the last few hours’.
Chelsea have remained firm in their stance. They only want a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy.
Lyon’s Malick Fofana is also an option but for now, Roma want to assess the possibility of signing the Blues attacker.
No certainty over either deal
While Vaz hasn’t exactly made a mark in Rome, the lack of game time has been a key reason. At Marseille, he played in Europe often Roma continue to give him that opportunity.
Regarding Bynoe-Gitttens, Chelsea are under no pressure to sell the 22-year-old. This pair of transfers look like going down to the wire.
