Bradley Barcola is expected to fly to England on Saturday to complete a move to Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain.
L’Equipe report that the 23-year-old’s move to Liverpool is now taking shape, including a planned flight to Merseyside.
The PSG forward is on the verge of joining Liverpool. He’s expected to fly to England on Saturday after the two clubs reached an agreement on Thursday.
They even speculate that he is likely packing his bags at this moment in time.
€140m – Big money transfer
The deal struck on Thursday will see Liverpool pay around struck on Thursday will see Liverpool pay around €140m for the French international.
The flight tomorrow will allow him to finalise the last details of his transfer on site at Liverpool. He will also undergo a medical and then sign his contract with the Reds. He will then start his new life in English football.
The forward will be a welcome addition for a forward line that is currently lacking in options following the departure of Mohamed Salah. It remains to be seen if he is joined by PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye, who is also on Liverpool’s radar.
Gakpo impact
It will also be interesting to see how his arrival impacts Cody Gakpo. Reports have linked the Dutchman with a move away from Liverpool all summer.
Tottenham reportedly retain an interest in the forward, despite their recent deals for Savio and Omar Marmoush.
Gakpo was on the scoresheet in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle last weekend but there has been no indication that he is a part of Liverpool’s long-term planning.
The arrival of Barcola, who is capable of playing all across the front three but is predominantly a left-winger, could add to that uncertainty. For now, the focus is on getting Barcola to Liverpool on Saturday to finalise his arrival from PSG.
