West Ham United, Hull City and Burnley are all pursuing Sunderland‘s Jocelin Ta Bi this summer.
Sunderland signed the winger from Maccabi Netanya in January. Later that month, he made a promise to the Black Cats supporters that he would give everything on the pitch.
Bi suffered an ankle injury, forcing him to spend a long spell on the sidelines. This meant he only made two appearances for Sunderland and that hasn’t put off West Ham, Hull City or Burnley.
English clubs keen on Sunderland man
The 21-year-old’s spell at Sunderland has convinced a few clubs to sign him on loan this summer.
Foot Mercato state the Sunderland player is attracting ‘a lot of interest’ in the final weeks of the window.
His qualities and potential convinced Régis Le Bris’s side to invest €3.5m to secure his services. The move hasn’t worked out yet because of an injury, while Sunderland maintain confidence in him.
West Ham United, Hull City, Burnley and his other suitors also appreciate Jocelin Ta Bi’s qualities. Lyon, OGC Nice and Le Havre are looking to bring him to the Ligue 1, to revive his career
Sunderland not keen on sanctioning exit
The Ivorian is ‘highly sought after’ in the market. The Ligue 1 trio, West Ham United, Hull City and Burnley have all contacted Sunderland to sign the player on loan.
However, the Stadium of Light club ‘close the door’ and won’t ‘respond favourably to these requests’. That’s because the Black Cats have no intention of letting the attacker leave.
The outlet states: ‘However, with the Premier League restart and the crucial September 1st transfer window deadline approaching, the English club’s position could well change in the coming days.’
In other words, Jocelin Ta Bi could join a new club on loan towards the end of the window. If Sunderland were to give the green light, he’s likely to pick a club that can assure him of regular game time.
