Jorginho ‘has just signed’ for Arsenal from Chelsea, the Italian media says.

TuttoMercatoWeb now features a story claiming the midfielder has already signed a contract with the Gunners which will run until 2025.

The website highlights there’s been ‘white smoke’ in the deal, as he formalised the paperwork along with agent João Santos and lawyer Alessandro Belluzzo.

It’s said only the official announcement from Arsenal and Chelsea are now left for the operation to be confirmed.

Even though TMW’s story doesn’t say how much Arsenal are paying Chelsea for the signing, recent reports claimed the deal is worth about £12m.

Jorginho joined Chelsea on a €57m move from Napoli in the summer of 2018, and leaves the club with 29 goals and nine assists in 213 matches.

His list of trophies include a Champions League, a Europa League and a Club World Cup title.

The Italian media had always been hopeful of Jorginho’s return to the country, with his agent frequently feeding the rumours about his comeback to the Serie A.

Now with this move to Arsenal, it will hopefully take a few years until he’s linked to those clubs once again.
