Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz has been on loan at Juventus since the winter market and has seen his game time limited at the Italian club.
The midfielder has clocked in 236 minutes from nine games under Massimiliano Allegri and also struggled with an injury for over three weeks in March.
Juve have an option to make the Southampton owned player’s stay permanent, but as per Bianconera News, they’re going to use that and it’s not certain that he will continue at the club.
They also state the 21-year-old’s situation could change if the Serie A side were to have a new manager next season. Allegri is currently in charge and his future beyond this season remains uncertain.
If Allegri were to be replaced, the incoming manager will then decide whether or not to keep the Southampton man, likely on another loan. If not, the Argentine will have to return to St Mary’s in the summer.
Juve have agreed a €49.5m buying option and earlier claims have made it clear that they have no intention to pay this fee.
Things aren’t looking good for Alcaraz, and as of now, everything indicates he could return to Southampton.
