Over the past few weeks, the Brazilian media have covered West Ham United’s efforts to try to sign Corinthians’ Wesley Gassova.
On April 24th, multiple claims stated the Hammers have made a €15m bid for the forward and that was turned down by the Brazilian club.
UOL talk about West Ham’s ‘official offer’ of €15m and also explain the conditions needed to sign the 19-year-old in the summer window.
The Brazilian’s deal lasts until December 2027 and Corinthians own 70% of his rights, while the rest is owned by his representatives.
It’s claimed Wesley isn’t non-transferable for the South American club and they are ready to open the door for his sale, as long as their demand of around €25-30m is met. This will come as encouragement for the London club.
According to UOL, the €25m fee is for 70% of his rights and €30m for the entirety. In other words, West Ham will have to double their offer, if they wish to sign the player in the next window.
As of now, the Hammers are the only club to have made an official offer, while Liverpool, Real Betis and Atlético Madrid have asked about Wesley.
Earlier this week, ESPN in Brazil reported West Ham have made an improved bid of €18m, and this isn’t something that UOL have taken into account.
