On Tuesday morning, the Spanish media was very sure about Ayoze Perez’s move from Leicester City to Real Betis.

With the striker being just a few months from the end of his contract, it was claimed he was released by the Foxes to join the La Liga side.

And with reports saying he had already travelled to Spain, it seemed like a matter of time until the final details were sorted and his exit from Leicester City was completed.

However, as El Chiringuito now features an update on the situation, they claim Betis are actually still working to get that signing done.

Journalist Gonzalo Tortosa claims that the La Liga side are still ‘seeking a formula’ to land the striker.

El Chiringuito has been showing a live chronometer with the hours left for the end of the transfer window, making it clear Spanish clubs have little time to get those transfers done.

So regardless of Perez’s alleged trip to Spain, it seems Betis and Leicester still need to work on that deal, or the player may remain with the Foxes until the end of the season.
