Liverpool are ‘beginning to lose patience’ with Luis Diaz and that’s given Barcelona optimism they could get him in the summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say there is a growing belief Liverpool could be ready to cut ties and Barcelona are ready to move for him.
The newspaper explains that finding a ‘pure winger’ for their squad in the summer is among the priorities and Diaz is on the list.
They want a player who can dribble, has speed and creates danger and the Liverpool man is seen as the perfect example of that.
Ordinarily the Liverpool star would be out of Barcelona’s reach given the state of their finances, but it’s claimed they are ‘beginning to lose patience’ with him at Anfield and that could open the door to a deal.
Where that idea comes from isn’t made clear, although given Diaz was among those who frustrated in the Merseyside derby defeat to Everton, perhaps it’s not wide of the mark.
Barcelona appear to be hedging their bets ahead of the summer, when it seems there will be major changes once Jurgen Klopp has departed and Michael Edwards and his team are back in control of the squad.
They perhaps think Diaz is one of the players who could be moved on and are ready to move for him if he is as they look for a winger.
