Even though Tottenham Hotspur spent the whole summer failing to find a deal with Barcelona for the transfer of Clement Lenglet, a new opportunity seems to be opening in the final days of the transfer window.

Recent reports from the Spanish media have been claiming that the La Liga giants could be about to let him go, despite registering him as one of their players for the season.

Now as Marca features a new story on Lenglet, they make it clear that the Tottenham target doesn’t have a place at Barcelona.

The outlet claims it’s ‘obvious’ he’s not going to be in their squad for the season, and his departure is actually needed because of the Financial Fair Play.

Barça have been trying to sell him, but with little time until the end of the window, ‘any option’ is now being evaluated. That’s why he’s now listed as one of the players who could leave on a loan.

It’s said ‘everything indicates’ Lenglet will soon be off from Barcelona, and Tottenham, who already had the player on a temporary spell last season, should soon get a fresh chance to land him for one more year.
