On Sunday evening, Sport Witness covered claims from Sweden that Pawel Cibicki has agreed to join Leeds United from Malmo.

The 23 year old Swedish forward would be joining Leeds United on a four year contract, and the estimated transfer fee is put at around £1.7m.

Things aren’t finalised between Leeds United and Malmo, but it would be odd for things to so quickly get this far and then disappear. A move is expected to happen by the Swedish media and Cibicki would be joining his fellow Swede and former Malmo player Pontus Jansson.

Over in Germany, it’s reported that Pierre-Michel Lasogga to Leeds United isn’t dead. The 25 year old had at one stage been so close to signing for Leeds, on loan from Hamburg, that he travelled to the city to have a look around.

Lasogga then had a wobble, worried about not being able to get ahead of Chris Wood. The Wood problem is now gone, and Hamburger Abendblatt report Leeds United are ‘still interested’ in signing the player.

The technicalities of a potential transfer are said to be unclear, and it’s still unknown if Lasogga has changed his mind or will reject a move to the Yorkshire club.
