According to a claim in the Swedish media, Malmo forward Pawel Cibicki has agreed to sign for Leeds United. The 23 year old has been linked with a move to Leeds United this weekend, and things are progressing quickly.

Fotbollskanalen report Cibicki will sign a four year contract with Leeds United, for a transfer fee in the region of 16m Krona (about £1.7m).

Leeds United have in recent days been in talks to discuss the transfer of the Sweden U21 international, with reports yesterday the West Yorkshire side had tabled a bid for the forward.

It seems things have developed in the past 24 hours, and the player looks close to a move to Elland Road. With the departure of Chris Wood to Burnley earlier this week, Leeds United needed to bolster their attacking options before the deadline.

Earlier today we covered reports from Sweden that Cibicki could be playing his last game today for Malmo.

However, Cibicki was named as substitute in the game against IFK, which could give a further indication he’s heading to Leeds United.
