The Premier League this week kept up a good record of players in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week.

Every Monday the grand old Italian newspaper pick of selection of the best performances from around Europe, whilst ignoring their own Serie A, and present them in an eleven.

A week ago, Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso was one of three Premier League players to find a place, after the Spaniard impressed and scored twice against Tottenham.

Today, Gazzetta choose three Premier League performers again, and Chelsea are the only English club to be featured in each of the two weeks so far. This time it’s Cesc Fabregas who finds his way in, after a great performance against Everton.

Fabregas scored the opening goal for Antonio Conte’s side against Everton, and was the star man as Chelsea beat Ronald Koeman’s men 2-0.

Despite all the claims of a crisis at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea looked good and have six points so far from three league games.
