Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia is on his way to join PSV Eindhoven on loan until the end of this season.

Benfica tried to sign the left-back but were unable to come to an agreement for the loan transfer. This opened the door for PSV to take him away from the Red Devils.

The Eredivisie club have time to sign the Manchester United player as the window in the Netherlands is open until later today.

On Monday, we covered claims from the Dutch press that the 25-year-old was to have his medical tests with PSV yesterday.

Eindhovens Dagblad claim Malacia already completed the medical examinations with PSV on Monday. They have to make the transfer official, and the Dutch club are working to complete the operation before Tuesday afternoon [local time].

The report states PSV are likely to complete it soon and if they do, they could possibly register the Manchester United man for Wednesday’s clash against Feyenoord. If not, then Malacia has to wait until Saturday to make his debut for PSV against Willem II.

PSV manager Peter Bosz is short of options in the defence and the fullback’s arrival will improve their back line.

Malacia returned to the pitch in December after spending 500 days on the sidelines and made nine appearances for Manchester United this season.
