Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal can launch attempts to sign Everton‘s Iliman Ndiaye within the next 72 hours.
That’s according to D Sports journalist Khadim Diakhaté.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to cover the latest about Tottenham and why Arsenal are pursuing the Everton star.
Tottenham and Arsenal keen on Everton man
Earlier in the window, the forward attracted interest from Al-Hilal. At that time, his father ruled out a move away from the Merseyside club.
On Saturday, Sport Witness covered a report from France explaining that Iliman Ndiaye wants to join Manchester City. Their negotiations with Everton progressed well, but the Citizens are unlikely to sign him.
That’s because Enzo Maresca’s side are closing in on signing Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
This gives an opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to secure the 26-year-old’s services. The two north London rivals are keen on the Everton player and are likely to battle it out for his signature.
Priority for Tottenham, backup for Arsenal
Khadim Diakhaté reports Cody Gakpo now favouring Manchester City can directly impact Iliman Ndiaye’s chances of joining the Citizens.
This opens the door for Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool to sign the Senegal international.
The Reds are looking at him as an option to replace the Dutchman. However, Everton are unlikely to negotiate with their local rivals.
Regarding the north London duo, Spurs have identified the Everton star as the ‘top target’ and are ‘very interested’ in securing his services. The Gunners have identified Ndiaye as Plan B to Atlético Madrid’s Julián Alvarez.
The Senegalese has played 208 matches in his career, managing 43 goals and 23 assists. Of this, 54 were as a left winger, 51 as a striker and 51 as an attacking midfielder.
At Everton, Ndiaye has mainly played on the left wing and at times on the right wing, scoring 17 goals and contributing four assists from 74 matches.
