Alejandro Balde’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain and Manchester United are in the mix to sign him this summer.
The Premier League side want a new left-back and the 22-year-old is already on their list.
Last week, Manchester United contacted Balde’s agent Jorge Mendes to find out the terms to take him away from Barcelona.
The representative made a trip to Barcelona to hold talks with both his client and the La Liga winners.
Earlier today, Sport Witness covered a report from Spain explaining that the Red Devils have Alejandro Balde as the main target and Racing Santander’s Jorge Salinas as a low-cost alternative. The latter has a €16m release clause.
Manchester United keen on Barcelona player

Hansi Flick left him out of the squad for the 5-0 league win over Elche CF on Sunday.
After the match, he said: “I spoke with Balde this morning. I told him he’s not 100%, that it’s better for him to stay home, I asked him to think, reflect, and clarify things, and that we’ll talk tomorrow.”
Mundo Deportivo relay the manager’s comments and covers the latest on the left-back.
The Spain international is waiting for a meeting with Flick.
Meanwhile, he trained normally on Monday with those players who didn’t feature or only played a few minutes against Elche.
Manchester United awaiting response
The fullback has received several offers, including one from Michael Carrick’s side.
His desire is to continue at the Camp Nou, where he has a contract until 2028. He will only consider leaving if the Spanish champions were to ask him to leave.
Prior to deciding, Alejandro Balde ‘wants to know firsthand that Barca doesn’t count on him.’ If that’s the case, he can evaluate offers that are on the table.
The meeting with Hansi Flick in the next few hours can provide clarity on the Catalan club’s final decision.
Manchester United will be waiting for Barcelona’s decision and the player’s response, after tabling an offer.
