The winger returned to the Premier League side after a season on loan at Rangers. Spurs are letting him go out on loan again to continue his development.
On August 3rd, Sport Witness covered a report from Germany explaining that he’s on the verge of joining FC Köln. The Tottenham player has rejected several clubs to favour a loan move to Germany.
Why the delay in Tottenham exit
However, the Bundesliga side haven’t completed the signing yet. That’s mainly because of Roberto De Zerbi, who wants the north London club to sign an attacker before letting the 19-year-old go out on loan.
Two days ago, 1. FC Köln sporting director Thomas Kessler hinted Mikey Moore’s arrival directly depends on Spurs signing new attackers.
Later that day, the Italian started the England U21 international in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 league defeat to Brentford. After the match, De Zerbi was critical of the youngster.
“We were not ready to fight in the duels. I think we made a lot of mistakes in the timing of the pressing with Mikey Moore in the left centre, we arrived too many times late,“ he said.

Savinho’s move to Tottenham Hotspur and their manager publicly criticising Moore has given the Bundesliga side confidence of completing the temporary transfer. The only thing the German club aren’t certain is the exact timing.
Tottenham face Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup on Wednesday and host Newcastle United in the league at the weekend. Whether Moore will be in the squad for one or both fixtures is unclear.
