Despite playing for the Italy U21s side, Burnley’s Luca Koleosho has never played in Serie A. The winger has now expressed a desire to move to Italy in the future.

The attacker was loaned out to Paris FC in January and he has done well in France. In 13 Ligue 1 games, he has two goals and is arguably doing much better than he did in England or at Espanyol.

At Burnley, he could only manage three goals in 45 games accross all competitions. This led to loans away from the club.

Now, Koleosho has revealed his dreams of a potential move to AC Milan.

Koleosho would love Milan transfer

The 21-year-old has spoken to MilanNews about his future, and was specifically asked about his admiration for the Rossoneri.

Koleosho explained he looks up to a lot of Milan players from the past.

“I liked some Milan players like Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho, Pato, and all those players. And especially Balotelli when he was at Milan. Mario was one of my favourite players. I’ve always liked Milan.”

The Italian was also asked about Rafael Leao and whether he sees the Portugal international as someone he wants to imitate.

“Of course you do! I’ve really liked Leao since he arrived at Milan with Zlatan and contributed to the Scudetto. I’ve followed him ever since, and for me, Leao is a role model!”

“Yes, when I see him play, he inspires me. I always watch his YouTube videos, the highlights, his skills, his goals. So much stuff!”

The Burnley player said he would love to replace Leao, describing Milan as the club he supports.

“Yes, it would be wonderful to be his heir. If I had the opportunity to go to Italy, I’d jump at it. I’ve always supported AC Milan. They’re my favourite club in Serie A.”

Our take: Long way to go for Koleosho

As things stand, Koleosho has a lot to do before making a big jump in Italy. Paris FC feels like the right club for him to develop in a low-key way, and things are going in the right track.

While Leao could leave Milan, they would need a proven attacker. The Burnley youngster hasn’t quite proven himself to be that.

Besides, it still remains to be seen if he returns to the Clarets or not. There is too much uncertainty and a move to Milan will have to remain a dream for now.
