Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Brajan Gruda is working with a video analyst at RB Leipzig to improve his game and secure a summer move to the German club.

RB Live report on the midfielder today, with information from Leipziger Volkszeitung regarding his work behind the scenes at the German club.

Gruda working behind the scenes

The newspaper explains that Leipzig are already working on their summer plans, with the Brighton loanee very much a part of them.

The 21-year-old joined on loan in January and after a few ‘promising months’ RB Leipzig are working on a permanent offer.

They’ve been impressed by Gruda on the pitch, but also off of it. The Brighton man is using a personal video analyst behind the scenes to improve his game.

Former RB Leipzig analyst Daniel Ackermann, who lives in Leipzig, now works with several players and focuses on individual match analysis. Gruda has taken up the opportunity too, extending on the work already done at the club.

While Leipzig focus on opponents, team structure and group tactics, Ackermann emphasises work on individual behaviours. This includes aspects such as positioning, decision-making, and anticipation in specific game situations. He also works regularly with Gruda in this context.

Brighton situation

RB Leipzig are now interested in a permanent move in the summer. Brighton, for their part, are looking to at least recoup the €30m they paid in 2024. A deal just above that is more likely.

Leipzig are aware they’re open to a sale, though, so there’s a deal to be done. However, there is a problem.

A recent restructuring at the club means that transfers exceeding €25m are ‘reportedly a thing of the past’. That might make a permanent move for Brajan Gruda difficult.

However, extra money secured from qualifying for the Champions League could change that. Leipzig can take a giant step towards that this weekend with a win over Bayer Leverkusen.

For now, it’s wait and see. But the Brighton loanee has impressed, particularly with his work behind the scenes.
