It seems Andreas Samaris is not the only Benfica player who Newcastle United want this summer.
O Jogo, the same newspaper who claim a deal for the Greek midfielder is close, now says Newcastle are keen on signing André Carrillo as well.
The winger is expected to be loaned out to a Premier League club in this transfer window, and Newcastle are said to be giving competition to Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town, Stoke City and Watford.
Newcastle United are picked out as a club who could afford player’s wages, which are €4m gross per season, one of the highest at Benfica.
The Portuguese side hope he can impress on a one year loan in England so they can later sell him for something around €20m.
Besides the player’s salary, the Eagles also want €2m for the loan. Maybe Newcastle could find a double deal here, and even avoid this loan fee.
