As Barcelona won’t give up on signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, the Catalan media shares the latest updates on this endless pursuit.

Mundo Deportivo claim that following the departure of Ousmane Dembele, the Portuguese midfielder became the ‘absolute priority’ for the Camp Nou side.

It’s said that with the approval of Joan Laporta, Mateu Alemany and Deco, the operation is ‘underway’ to try to convince Manchester City of a deal.

The report claims Pep Guardiola promised Silva he’d let him go if a ‘powerful proposal’ arrives, and they’re all hopeful that will be fulfilled.

The La Liga giants now work on the formula to get the deal done, and Manchester City will wait and see if the money on the table will be enough for a negotiation.

Silva has big respect for Guardiola and the Citizens, so despite his insistence on making the move, he knows there’s a limit to push for it.

It’s also believed the a transfer must happen now, so there’s time for Manchester City to go after a replacement. Barcelona are said to be ‘serious’ this time and their attempt should soon be made.
