A couple of months ago, the Italian media had very positive reports about West Bromwich Albion’s interest in Torino manager Ivan Juric.
It was claimed that while the Baggies offered the coach a ‘super contract’, he’s keen on taking a new experience, as he was set to leave the Serie A side if they didn’t qualify for Europe.
Now as Il Interista feature a fresh story on the manager, they actually bring more optimistic news for West Brom.
It’s claimed that Juric, whose contract at Torino expires in the summer, wants the club qualified for the Conference League, and will do everything to achieve that. But that won’t lead him to stay at the club, as his ‘dream’ is to give them with the place in the European competition and walk away.
The outlet reports that the coach is planning his future, and the ‘concrete option’ leads to West Brom.
The tough news, however, is that he’s said to be only keen on taking charge of the Baggies in case they get the promotion to the Premier League. So it should still take a while until a decision is made, and Carlos Corberan may have something to say about it.
When the Juric claims began, it was all planned as a new beginning from this summer related to West Brom’s takeover.
