Liverpool star Luis Diaz has admitted he is ‘living a dream’ at the club as he gears up for the Champions League final.

Diaz arrived at Anfield in a £42.3m deal from Porto in the January transfer window, having been the star of the show for the Portuguese side.

He’s been an instant hit on Merseyside, with a series of impressive performances in the Premier League and Champions League and six goals and five assists in 25 games in all competitions so far.

He has been credited with giving Liverpool a much-needed boost in the middle of the campaign, something which helped them revive a title bid, win both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup and reach the final of the Champions League.

A win in Paris would take him to three trophies this season alone, an impressive tally for a man who managed five in two and a half seasons in Portugal.

Whether they can beat Real Madrid remains to be seen, but for the Colombian, his time at Liverpool has been a dream so far.

“I am very happy and content, grateful for this great moment,” he told MARCA’s Colombian edition report him saying.

“I’m living a dream, I’ve always longed for it, and I’ve always wanted it. I can’t believe it. I’m enjoying the moment and taking advantage of every day to keep growing on a personal and sporting level.

“I don’t believe this moment; I’m aware that I’m living great things because of my present at Liverpool.

“The only thing I want to do is to build my life and my football. That’s how the kids appreciate everything we do. Hopefully, we can win the final.”
