Hurriyet claim Fenerbahce are looking to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the next window

Fenerbahce currently have Roberto Soldado as their No.1 forward, but Hurriyet claim if the Super Lig club can offload the Spaniard then they’ll look to sign Sturridge in January.

It’s reported Sturridge may be tempted to leave England following the FA’s betting charge for the attacker. The Turkish newspaper reports Fenerbahce are currently waiting to see the outcome of the FA’s investigation and if he’s not found guilty then they will make an offer for the player.

The other scenario is that Fenerbahce are prepared to wait until the end of the season to sign the 29 year old on a free transfer.

Due to Sturridge’s contract expiring in the summer the Yellow Canaries will be able to enter into talks with the Liverpool player with regards to a pre contract agreement in the new year.

Sturridge has spent the last five years at Liverpool but is now seen as more of a back up by Jurgen Klopp.
