This morning, we’ve seen reports from Spain claiming that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs who are interested in the signing of Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Odriozola.

El Transistor said Spurs would like to sign the 25-year-old to replace Serge Aurier, even though the Frenchman’s departure from London was said to be ‘hard’,

Now Tottenham’s chase for Odriozola is backed up by the Italian media, who also have a reason to get interested in the player’s situation.

TuttoMercatoWeb says Spurs are alongside Fiorentina in the race for the Spaniard, and it seems the Serie A side are in more advanced stages for a deal.

It’s claimed that La Viola already have an agreement with Real Madrid for Odriozola’s loan. They’re now speaking to the player to get personal terms sorted.

TuttoMercatoWeb has no details on Spurs’ chase, although they claim that the full-back hasn’t taken a decision yet.

So that may represent a chance for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.
