Ajax are ‘approaching an agreement’ with Burnley for forward Mohamed Daramy, who appears to be on his way to Turf Moor.

That’s according to Voetbal International, who say the Clarets have ‘made a bid’ for the forward to take him away from Amsterdam.

The newspaper reports that a final agreement between Burnley and Ajax has not yet been reached but the player is ‘almost complete’ in his negotiations with them.

He is eager to make the step to the Premier League and has made this clear to Ajax. Thus, Burnley have now made a ‘formal offer’ for him to try and push things along.

The transfer is expected to be finalised at some point. He could either be bought outright or arrive at Turf Moor on loan with a mandatory purchase clause included.

Burnley have made it clear that they are willing to spend €15m on the player in either eventuality, so there is plenty of room for negotiations between the two sides.

Either way, the two sides are openly negotiating a deal for the forward and there is a belief that it will be done eventually, with Daramy very keen on the move as Vincent Kompany looks to bolster his squad for life back in the Premier League.
