Brighton & Hove Albion starlet Julio Enciso has drawn interest from Napoli, according to reports.

Outlet Fichajes says the Serie A side see the 19-year-old as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, who’s expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

It’s said Enciso has ‘captured Napoli’s attention’ with his recent performances for Brighton, with the story claiming ‘his progression has been remarkable’.

Since the Paraguayan wonderkid ‘fits perfectly’ into the Italian club’s plans, they now watch his situation and evaluate the chance of an attempt next summer.

Enciso is said to have an estimated market price of €40m, and that makes him an ‘achievable target’ for Napoli, especially because of all the money they’re expected to make with Osimhen’s sale.

Fichajes sounds very sure the South American would be perfect for the Serie A side, writing: ‘The possible arrival of Enciso to Napoli promises to add a new dimension to the team, offering youth and versatility on the attacking front. His dynamic playing style and ability to score goals could be a valuable asset for the team coached by Rudi García’.

The youngster only has one start for Brighton this season, and managed to make two assists in that game. Now since his knee injury, he already missed nine matches for the Seagulls, who are clearly hopeful he can get back to the pitch as soon as possible.

Should he excel again when doing so, that €40m seems on the low side given how well Brighton have sold in recent windows.
