Tottenham Hotspur’s Radu Drăgușin suffered a serious injury in January 2025 and spent most of last year on the sidelines.
The centre-back returned to the pitch on December 28th, when he came off the bench in Spurs’ win over Crystal Palace. Since then, he’s made three more appearances for Thomas Frank’s side.
On Christmas Day, Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea explained his client could leave Tottenham in the winter market or the summer. Fiorentina and AS Roma showed interest but failed to find an agreement with Spurs in January.
AC Milan tried to sign the 24-year-old late in the winter market but weren’t successful. Calciomercato.it now points out their failure to bring the Romania international to the San Siro and then covers the latest.
The January disappointment won’t put them off as the report claims the Rossoneri ‘won’t give up’ on the Tottenham player.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side remain undeterred and will continue pursuing the defender for the summer.
He has experience of playing in Serie A from his time at Juventus and Genoa. The latter sold him to the north London club in January 2024, but Drăgușin has struggled to become a key player at Tottenham.
Milan are looking to bring him back to Italy and the outlet claims their plan is to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, also covers the Rossoneri’s interest in Drăgușin.
Milan had considered him and Atlético Madrid’s José María Giménez for the centre-back position in the recently concluded window. The La Liga side never considered sanction a move for the Uruguayan.
Ceccarini adds Drăgușin is still on Milan’s agenda, but a deal in the summer depends on ‘Tottenham’s potential requests’. This is an indication that Spurs hold all cards over his future.
The Romanian has a contract 2030, which gives Frank’s side a clear upper hand in the potential negotiations.
Milan could face competition from Juve, who reportedly planned a late move for Drăgușin in the winter market.
The Old Lady also tried to sign Randal Kolo Muani, currently on loan at Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain, in the last window. The French striker will return to PSG after this season and Juve could make another attempt in the summer.
