West Ham United’s Guido Rodríguez is on his way to join Valencia in the winter market.
That’s according Tribuna Deportiva, who specialise their coverage on the La Liga side.
Valencia have made advances to sign the Argentina international on a loan deal. It’s likely to be a dry loan until the end of this season without an option or obligation to buy.
According to the report, this operation seems is at an advanced stage. Los Ches are very close to securing the midfielder’s services and are working on finalising an agreement with West Ham.
Tribuna Deportiva sound optimistic of Valencia bringing the West Ham player to the Mestalla quickly.
Super Deporte are report the South American’s arrival at Valencia is imminent. The latter are making progress in their negotiations with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side to close this operation.
Four days ago, claims from Brazil reported he reached a verbal agreement with Grêmio. They offered €3m to the London club to sign him via a permanent transfer. The Brazilian club were confident of acquiring his signature.
Grêmio are in for disappointment as Valencia are edging closer.
West Ham player has great opportunity
The 31-year-old joined West Ham on a free transfer in August 2024, after spending four years at Real Betis. Julen Lopetegui was then in charge of the Premier League side and was shown the exit door in January 2025.
Rodríguez featured regularly under the Spaniard but lost prominence after Graham Potter replaced Lopetegui. His situation didn’t improve under Nuno, who took over from Potter last September.
Since playing 71 minutes in the Hammers’ defeat to Sunderland in August, the Argentine has played just over 100 minutes from five matches. The restricted role saw him get linked to a few clubs in recent weeks.
A return to Spain is beneficial for Rodríguez as he can enjoy regular game time. This can also help him improve his chances of representing Argentine at the World Cup. In short, this move can certainly be beneficial for the West Ham player.
