Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer’s agent Nico Pellatz rules out a move to Leeds United this summer.
The representative has been speaking to Bild to provide an update on his client’s future amid the Leeds United links.
Closing door on Leeds United
On Thursday, The Athletic in the UK reported the Premier League side are closing in on signing the 31-year-old.
Following these claims, Bild contacted Nico Pellatz for an update on whether his client is moving to Elland Road.
The agent wasted no time in dismissing Leeds United’s interest and reveals the report has come as a surprise.
“We are very surprised by reports that Michael Zetterer is on the verge of a transfer. These reports are simply untrue,” he said.
Zetterer not keen on summer move
The German joined the Bundesliga side from Werder Bremen in August 2025. In the same window, West Ham United had shown interest. The stopper earlier confirmed his desire to continue in Germany convinced him to snub the Hammers.
Last season, he kept seven clean sheets and conceded 46 goals from 29 matches. He has a contract until 2029, and Transfermarkt value him at €4m. He’s likely to be a backup for Kauã Santos this season.
However, the agent insists Michael Zetterer has no intention of leaving Eintracht Frankfurt.
“Michael and his family are very happy in Frankfurt. A move is currently out of the question for him,” Nico Pellatz explained.
That is enough to put the possibility of the stopper joining Daniel Farke’s side to bed.
Earlier in this window, Leeds United signed James Trafford from Manchester City. The Whites manager now has Trafford, Lucas Perri and Alex Cairns as three goalkeepers at his disposal.
Torino are keen on signing Perri, and the expectation is for him to leave Elland Road on loan. If the Brazilian were to leave, the English club have to bring in his replacement.
After Zetterer’s agent ruled out a move, Leeds United have to look elsewhere to sign a new goalkeeper.
