Hull City‘s Mohamed Belloumi wants to remain grounded amid the latest claims of Arsenal wanting to sign him in January.

Hull City signed the right winger from Farense in August 2024, and he managed eight goals and eight assists in 2,650 minutes from 45 matches. That includes three goals and two assists from 10 matches for the Premier League side this season.

His impressive start to the season with Hull City has resulted in reports in England about Arsenal looking at him for the upcoming window.

Entourage responds to Arsenal claims

The Gunners’ rumoured interest in the Algeria international has seen Maghreb-Foot get in touch with a source close to him. The idea was to find out about the north London club’s intentions and his stance on joining them in January.

Mohamed Belloumi scored two goals for the national team during the last international break. Taking his performances for Sergej Jakirović’s side and Algeria this season into account, it’s no surprise that clubs are looking at him.

Their title says the Hull City star is ‘awaiting developments’ regarding Arsenal’s interest. Within the report, the source explains that the 24-year-old couldn’t refuse an offer from Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Tigers man feels honoured that the English champions, who made it to last season’s Champions League final, are showing interest.

Hull City attacker wants to stay grounded

The Arsenal links only motivate and challenge Mohamed Belloumi to further improve his game. Despite all this, for now, he wants to be grounded. The player is keen not to let their reported interest impact his own form for Hull City.

His immediate focus is on showcasing his qualities for both the club and his country. He has a contract until 2029, with an option for another year, and Transfermarkt value him at €18m.

Last month, the player’s father said he deserves to play for a top team, and Arsenal fall into that category. Hull City would have to make a decision if Arsenal or another club were to make advances to sign Belloumi.

Mikel Arteta has Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke as the two recognised right wingers. The Emirates club may only consider signing the Hull City man if Madueke moves elsewhere.
