Kenneth Taylor has had an impressive spell at Lazio so far and this attracted attention from Brighton and Bournemouth.

The midfielder joined the Italian side from Ajax in January 2026. Since then, he has arguably been their most important player, having found the net twice and assisting as many times in ten Serie A games this season. This has made him vital in the campaign, with Lazio top of the table right now.

Even in the second half of last season, he contributed to five goals and has been key to turning the tide at the club.

Attention around the midfielder is expected to rise, with Brighton and Bournemouth already in the race.

Enquiries made for transfer

Tuttomercatoweb report on the midfielder’s situation, making it clear that Lazio fear that suitors can make offers in the summer. A January exit appears unlikely but the Roman side are aware of growing interest in Taylor.

Bournemouth and Brighton are two clubs who have already stepped forward for the Dutchman. They have asked for information about him, with Lazio clear that a move isn’t possible right now.

But Lazio are also trying to extend his stay at the club further. Taylor’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2030 and the Biancocelesti want to extend it beyond that and hand him bigger wages too.

Taylor currently earns only €1.5m per season. Lazio know that he is worth more and want to tie him down before suitors come and offer more.

Our take: More English clubs can join the race

Taylor has proved himself to be a very dynamic midfielder. He has the engine to play box-to-box and also chips in with goals. He has a very reliable work-rate, which can make him a very good fit for the Premier League’s demands.

It won’t be a surprise if more clubs from England join the race for Taylor.

The 24-year-old can command a much higher wage there too. Lazio are in a very good spot right now and this would satisfy the player. Once they start to struggle, Taylor’s future can be uncertain once again.
