Nottingham Forest tried to sign Fiorentina’s Dodo in the summer. A deal never went through but they could soon have a much more favourable route at the transfer.

At one point, the deal was close. But Nottingham Forest’s offer was rejected, as Fiorentina wanted a higher fee to sell him.
After a difficult few weeks, the player is back in the picture for the Italian side.
Managerial change can spark rebirth

Now, Fabio Grosso has been sacked and Paolo Vanoli is returning as manager. The Italian used the right-back regularly in the second half of last season and it is believed he could become an important player once again.
While this is a chance at rebirth, his future isn’t certain.
The outlet note that offers from Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos were rejected in the summer. Even now, Fiorentina haven’t quite made a decision regarding his future.
With his contract running out in 2027, he would be free to pick a new club in January.
This will give Nottingham Forest the chance to sign him for free, with Dodo’s performances likely to determine Fiorentina’s decision.
