Swansea City‘s Zeidane Inoussa saw his move to NK Osijek collapse at the last-minute.

Swansea City reached agreement
The transfer window in the UK closed over a week ago, while the one in Croatia was open until Monday. This allowed Swansea City to offload the 24-year-old.
NK Osijek had shown keen interest in the Swede. Their plan was for him to replace Nail Omerović, who recently joined Estoril Praia on a permanent transfer.
The Croatian club wanted to sign Zeidane Inoussa on loan and the ‘deal was done’. In other words, they had an agreement in place with Vítor Matos’ side.
Osijek supporters were expecting him to arrive in the city and complete the loan move to improve their attack.
Why Swansea City player’s move collapsed
That didn’t happen because the Croatian side had concerns over Zeidane Inoussa’s fitness.
Gol.hr have found out that the ‘main reason was his fitness’, meaning there were doubts about him clearing the medical.
In May 2025, the Welsh club agreed a deal with BK Häcken to sign the attacker. At that time, there was excitement in Sweden over his move to Swansea City.
He finished his debut season with 1,306 minutes from 29 matches, managing a goal and two assists. The Swede only made four appearances in this calendar year, and all were in January.
The fitness concern was the reason his move to Portsmouth collapsed in the summer window. It’s the same reason why the Swansea City player didn’t secure a loan transfer to NK Osijek.
Gol.hr states: ‘Osijek were not prepared to risk his health and potentially be left with only Admir Ljatić to cover the left wing, and will therefore be looking for a signing among free agents.’
After two failed moves, Inoussa will continue at Swansea City, where he has a contract until 2030.
