Richarlison’s entourage believes that he is being punished by Tottenham Hotspur for rejecting a return to Everton.

Journalist Raisa Simplicio reports about the 29-year-old today and how even a return to Brazil now appears complicated.

She states that Richarlison has now given the green light to Vasco to return to Brazilian football. The Brazilian window closes on September 11th.

Tottenhan frustrated?

However, Tottenham are making things difficult. They’ve taken a tough approach to the Brazilian at this moment in time. They’re frustrated with the forward for rejecting an offer from Everton at the end of the transfer window.

Spurs had been counting on that sale to fund a deal for Iliman Ndiaye. Instead, Richarlison refused to move and Ndiaye ultimately ended up at Manchester City.

Then Tottenham rejected approaches from Türkiye for the Brazilian forward. Sport Witness covered that interest, from Trabzonspor. Richarlison was keen on the move, but Tottenham blocked it and subsequently didn’t register the striker for the Premier League.

Those close to Richarlison believe he is facing a form of retaliation for refusing to move to Everton under the terms that were proposed. Now it seems his last chance is to return home to Brazil.

Vasco need to be skillful

But there is a feeling – and Simplicio says it outright – that Vasco will need to be skilful in convincing Tottenham into a deal. At the very least it’ll take some skill to find a solution that suits everyone.

Tottenham, it appears, have no interest in doing anything that’s not in their best interests. It is certainly easy to see how his entourage are perceiving it that way.

What doesn’t help anyone is taking that stance into future transfer negotiations. If Tottenham are so desperate for the sale, it makes no sense to keep Vasco at arm’s length and complicate matters any more than is required.
