Borussia Dortmund are not particularly concerned about Arsenal’s interest in chief scout Sebastian Krug.

BILD report that despite ‘alarm bells’ reportedly ringing at the German club, there is currently a sense of calm regarding the potential exit.

Dortmund unconcerned

Report this month have indicated that Arsenal are keen on the 43-year-old Borussia Dortmund scout this summer. It has even been claimed that talks have taken place in London.

BILD explain this is all build on Krug’s growing reputation in the industry thanks to his previous talent identification. He was directly involve in deals for superstars such as Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham as well as the likes of James Bynoe-Gittens and Jadon Sancho.

Arsenal are not the only Premier League suitors. Tottenham and Newcastle have also, reportedly, shown great interest in him. However, Dortmund’s bosses are not currently panicking.

In fact, they’re doing the opposite. As of this point, club officials have not yet been officially informed of interest in their chief scout. Consequently, they remains relaxed about the rumours despite Arsenal’s ‘poaching attempts’.

Arsenal need to pay

Furthermore, they would need to receive an ‘astronomical financial offer’ to consider letting Krug go anyway. The club’s sporting leadership – Managing Director of Sport Lars Ricken and Sporting Director Ole Book – simply aren’t interested in letting him go.

They would need a huge offer to consider otherwise. And even then, they would not let their “Diamond Eye” leave without a fight. Krug is simply too important to the German club for that.

It seems, then, that it’s on Arsenal to convince them otherwise. That will, it seems, will require them making a huge financial offer to the Bundesliga side.

Whether they consider Krug worth such an outlay, remains to be seen. For now, their interest and apparent attempts to recruit the scout are certainly not causing any concern back in Dortmund.
