Burnley‘s Luca Koleosho spent the second half of last season on loan at Paris FC. Now, there is a chance he can move to Italy.
The spell in France helped the attacker. He played 16 Ligue 1 games, finding the net three times and assisting once in less than 600 minutes.
This helped him earn a call-up to a refurbished Italian national team a few weeks ago. The attacker made his debut for the Azzurri, featuring in friendlies against Greece and Bosnia.
Earlier this year, Koleosho clarified his dream of moving to the Serie A at some point in the future. Sport Witness covered those comments, as he described himself as an AC Milan fan.
Now, Italian interest in the Burnley player is growing.
Fiorentina are interested
La Nazione – relayed by ViolaNews, report today that Fabio Paratici has identified Koleosho as a possible signing.
La Viola are unlikely to keep Manor Solomon and they need an attacking addition. the 21-year-old can fill the gap, with the sporting director said to be keen.
The outlet are sure that Koleosho will return to Burnley soon. But he won’t stay beyond the summer.
Fiorentina are well placed and know that the Clarets will part ways for a fee between €9m and €10m.
Player needs permanent home
For multiple years, Koleosho has suffered from instability in his career. He has spent multiple loans away from Burnley and this has impacted his progress.
He’s still only 21 and the Azzurri call-up has been a big positive. Returning to Italy on a permanent basis could be the boost he needs.
Koleosho can rebuild his career at Fiorentina, play regularly in Solomon’s absence and become a bigger name in Italy.
Burnley should accept a permanent transfer and anything around €9m will go down as a capital gain.
