Everton striker Beto is gaining interested parties in Italy, with Como now in the picture as well.
Calciomercato report that Como have turned their attention to the 28-year-old as they seek a new striker this summer.
The Italian side currently have their eyes on a deal for Fiorentina’s Moise Kean. Kean is well, keen on the move and already has an agreement in principle with Cesc Fabregas’ side.
Como, though, are holding back on a second bid. They want to conduct further tests before submitting a second offer to Fiorentina for him.
That offer would include a base fee of nearly €40m. Updates are expected in the coming hours regarding a deal that could alter the strategies of both clubs.
Como look to Everton
In the meantime, Como are looking elsewhere and ‘closely monitoring’ Everton striker Beto. He is also on Fiorentina’s list should Kean end up leaving for Como.
Sport Witness have already covered reports explaining that over the last week. The first of those explained that Fiorentina had Beto on their list to replace Kean should he head to Como.
Reports in Italy then followed that up, explaining that Beto was simply one of several options Fiorentina were looking at ahead of the end of the transfer window. There was no indication of them pushing or him being a top target at this point.
Everton awaiting offers
Now Como have him in their sights, the situation could be about to get complicated. So far there has been no indication of Everton’s stance on the matter.
Beto is in the final year of his contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but they do have an option to extend that by another year. Reports in England have indicated that they are expecting, and indeed open, to offers for the striker.
Now they could have multiple options on the table, if Como turn their attention to the Guinea-Bissau international.
