Everton striker Beto is a target for Fiorentina should they sell Moise Kean before the end of the transfer window.
Journalist Gianluca di Marzio reports that Fiorentina are monitoring the Everton striker as a potential last-minute replacement for their star man.
The Italian journalist explains that Fiorentina are in danger of losing Moise Kean before the transfer window closes. Cesc Fabregas’ Como are interested in the Italian forward, and his entourage are working on the deal.
Waiting for Como bid
While Como are yet to submit a second offer for the former Everton man, Fiorentina are preparing for that to happen. His entourage are certainly working to find ‘common ground’ between the two sides and make the move happen.
Should that exit materialise. Fiorentina have Everton striker Beto among the candidates to replace Kean.
He is a player that they know well given his time at Udinese. And director of football Fabio Paratici will know him from his own time in England with Tottenham.
There is no mention of how much Fiorentina would be willing to pay for the 28-year-old. They would presumably be looking at a bargain deal for the Everton striker.
Will Everton sell?
His current deal expires next summer, although Everton may have an option to extend that by another year. Even if the Toffees take up that option, it would still be smart to sell this summer rather than letting him enter the final year of his deal.
Transfermarkt currently rate the striker at €18m. Everton paid €25m for him three years ago. So, it is easy to see their asking price being somewhere in that region.
It also remains to be seen if Everton do want a sale. Thierno Barry appears to be first choice this season after impressing in pre-season, but Beto is still the back up option. They would presumably want a replacement lined up – perhaps Chelsea’s Liam Delap – before they sanction an exit.
For now, it all depends on Moise Kean. If he heads to Como, Fiorentina will enter the market and have Beto on their radar.
