Rangers are facing the possibility of losing Nicolas Raskin and Atalanta have now stepped forward for the player.
Sport Witness have covered how Bologna have been linked to the Belgian. There have been suggestions that a swap deal involving Raskin and Lewis Ferguson could also be on the cards.
A lot of it has looked like agents offering Raskin to multiple clubs.
That has seen interest in the Rangers man grow in recent weeks. He’s played at the World Cup, coming off the bench in Belgium’s dramatic 3-2 win over Senegal earlier this week.
That has helped take his reputation to new heights, with Atalanta emerging as a candidate to sign him.

Contact with Rangers was made in May and they remain keen. Importantly for the Glasgow side, they can now demand as much as €30m for the player. Their valuation was at €25m before the World Cup and this has changed La Dea’s stance over a deal.
Atalanta would be a step up
The Bergamo club won’t be playing in the Champions League or the Europa League next season. They’ll be in the Conference League but they still present a step up.
Maurizio Sarri has come in as manager and he brings the most out of technically-blessed midfielders. He did that with Nicolo Rovella at Lazio and Raskin should see this as a positive.
Everything will come down to whether Atalanta meet Rangers’ price or not. Premier League clubs have been linked with Raskin but La Dea are earning money from Ederson’s exit.
