Crystal Palace saw Marc Guéhi complete a permanent move to Manchester City earlier this month. The Eagles could be thinking of replacing him in the winter market.
On January 20th, we covered claims from Turkey of interest in Jayden Oosterwolde. Fenerbahçe have informed the Eagles he’s not for sale but wanted to find out what Oliver Glasner’s side are willing to propose.
Sporting’s Ousmane Diomande is also on Crystal Palace’s agenda. Four days ago, Record reported his €80m release clause has scared the London club.
Al Ahly SC’s Yasser Ibrahim has emerged as surprise target for Crystal Palace. This claim originated in Egypt, where the player is from. The Premier League club have reportedly made a bid.
Youm7 cover Crystal Palace’s offer and then share their own updates.
The Egyptian newspaper approached Al Ahly SC for an update and a source close to them stated theses claims are ‘completely untrue’.
According to the same source, the Egyptian club have not received an offer from Crystal Palace or any other club for the centre-back.
It’s not clear whether the Premier League side are looking at Ibrahim for this window or the summer. Either way, Al Ahly SC have no knowledge of an offer from Oliver Glasner’s side.
‘Over the past period, the names of more than one player on the team have been linked to more than one professional offer from abroad, whether from Europe or the Gulf, but these are completely untrue,’ the source said.
Why Crystal Palace link was always odd
The 32-year-old has spent his entire professional playing career in Egypt. He joined Al Ahly SC in 2019 and has a contract until 2027.
If Crystal Palace are keen on signing Ibrahim, Youm7 report his current club are open to evaluating offers.
Ibrahim will turn 33 years of age in February. Crystal Palace may not consider him due to his age and lack of European experience.
