Arsenal and Manchester City have their set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain’s Willian Pacho.

The centre-back joined Ligue 1 winners from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2024 and has played 107 matches.

His performances for PSG have caught both Arsenal and Manchester City’s attention.

Liverpool reportedly tried to hijack the Paris club’s attempts in August 2024. His decision to move to Parc des Princes has clearly paid off as he won the Champions League and the league twice, along with other trophies.

Earlier this month, Luis Enrique’s side rewarded the defender with a new contract until 2031. This doesn’t seem to stop Arsenal and Enzo Maresca’s side from looking at him.

Arsenal and Manchester City need big investment

Arsenal and Manchester City have PSG’s Willian Pacho on their radar

That’s according to Bolavip, who cover the Premier League duo’s interest in the 24-year-old.

Despite the renewal, Mikel Arteta’s side and the Citizens are open to making an effort to sign him.

However, it won’t be easy for Arsenal or Manchester City to take the Ecuador international away from PSG.

Transfermarkt now value him at €80m and his suitors may have to spend well over that to convince the French champions.

Pacho’s salary at PSG

The English clubs will have to offer a higher salary to tempt Willian Pacho. Bolavip states the defender now earns €11m, likely net, per year with Luis Enrique’s side.

Therefore, Arsenal or Manchester City have to ‘pay him a salary higher than that amount’ to convince him.

Mikel Arteta’s side have the funds but there are doubts of them offering Pacho more than €11m. That isn’t the case with Manchester City as there’s belief the Etihad club can meet his salary demand.

For now, the Gunners or the Citizens haven’t made an approach to sign the Ecuadorian. It’s unlikely there will be discussions either with his camp or PSG at this stage of the season.

Pacho has made six appearances so far this season.
