Over the past 10 days, Barcelona’s Ansu Fati has been linked with Manchester United.
Most of these claims have been made by Sport, who reported the La Liga winners have already rejected the Old Trafford’s club’s first proposal of €100m for the winger.
The Sunday Times then backed it up by stating the Red Devils made a second offer in the region of €150m. The attacker has a €170m release clause in his current contract at the Camp Nou.
Earlier today, we covered claims from Mundo Deportivo stating Barcelona are unaware of any bids for the 17-year-old.
Journalist Miguel Rico, writing on the back page of the same newspaper now states ‘it’s true’ that there have been agents who have tried to sell Fati for an ‘astronomical figure’, with the suggestion Jorge Mendes could be involved.
Rico also adds Manchester United have denied tabling any offers.
In addition to this, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side feel they are being ‘used’, most likely by Fati’s camp, to get a better deal from Barcelona and also assurances over regular playing time.
