West Ham United can sign Gerard Deulofeu for €15-18m this summer if they decide to turn their interest into a firm bid to bring him to London Stadium.

That’s according to journalist Matteo Moretto, who says the forward ‘will leave’ after a superb season in Italy that’s seen him score 10 league goals to date.

Those numbers have earned him plenty of attention, and numerous reports over the last few weeks have put West Ham among his suitors.

Back in March, it was reported the Hammers were ready to bring Deulofeu back to the Premier League, and there have been consistent claims since then stating he’s a potential replacement for Jarrod Bowen and the ‘courtship’ is ongoing.

That was followed by a claim that Udinese chief Gino Pozzo has a pact with Deulofeu’s agents to let him go this summer, and now there’s a price.

Moretto says Deulofeu ‘will leave in the summer for €15-18m’ and is an ‘easy signing’ for a number of clubs due to his low wages.

He currently only earns €3m a year in Italy due to their tax laws, and that makes him a very attractive prospect for teams like the Hammers given the numbers he’s been posting.

Teams from the Premier League have ‘already asked’ about him, but there’s no specific mention of West Ham on this occasion.

Their interest in the Spaniard is well established at this point, though, and with a more than reasonable transfer fee and wages, this is a potential deal worth keeping an eye on.
