All of a sudden and in a very short story, Tottenham Hotspur are today linked to Porto star Fabio Vieira.

The information is brought by newspaper Correio da Manhã, who on top of their sports pages, usually brings very short paragraph about news in the transfer market.

There they write that Vieira is one of the Porto players who’ve been standing out, and is now drawing the interest from Premier League clubs.

It’s said Tottenham, along with Manchester United, have been ‘following’ the 22-year-old, with no more details about the chase.

This season for Porto, in their title-winning campaign, Vieira had six goals and 14 assists in 27 appearances in the Portuguese League.

When speaking of the player earlier this month, newspaper Record pointed out that he’s protected by a €50m release clause, and that’s the amount Porto will use as a reference to negotiate him this summer.

So if Tottenham are really coming after him, it’s likely they’ll need to spend nearly that much to take him out of the Dragons.
