Tottenham Hotspur showed Mauricio Pochettino the exit door on November 19th and days later, appointed José Mourinho as his successor.

The former Spurs manager is currently out of a job and was seen in Qatar along with his assistant at Tottenham, Jesus Perez.

It’s been over a month since the north London club sacked the Argentine and AS claims the ex-Southampton boss has decided to take a break for few months before returning to management.

The Spanish newspaper provides an insight on one of La Liga’s sides making a shock approach for Pochettino.

It’s claimed Real Betis were interested in appointing the South American shortly after he was sacked from Tottenham. According to the report, their offer was ‘ambitious’, but Pochettino turned it down as he wants to take a break after his Tottenham period.

Betis appointed Rubi in June and things haven’t gone smoothly for them this season. They have managed only six wins in 18 matches and currently sit 13th in the table with 23 points, nine points behind fourth place Atlético Madrid.
