Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has insisted he’s not concerned with a drop off in form from Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho and appears to have even predicted it.

Fussball Transfers cover comments from the Dortmund manager today after he was questioned about Sancho, who has been struggling since returning on loan from Manchester United.

He made the move from Old Trafford in January in a highly publicised deal following his public falling out with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The hope was that he could return to Germany and rediscover his old form, with United keen for him to revalue himself ahead of a sale in the summer transfer window.

That plan is yet to come to fruition, though, with Sancho currently on a run of five games without a goal or an assist in the Bundesliga after managing an assist in each of his first two games.

That has predictably led to questions being asked about the loan deal from Manchester United and whether it was worth doing in the first place.

Terzic, though, isn’t concerned about Sancho’s perceived lack of form, and instead appears to have predicted it before it happened.

“We know that not everyone is at 100%,” he said.

Jadon hasn’t played for a long time, and he lacks rhythm. It’s often the case that the guys who come back after a long downtime or a long break, they immediately light up at the beginning, when everything is new and fun again. And then every now and then there’s a dip.

“(He) said very confidently that his favourite position is at 10. We know that he can be used very flexibly, but Julian Brandt and Marco Reus did really well as the number 10.”
